looking for a cab for pf350

Sign in to disble this ad
well after the long hassle of getting ready for deployment, i found out im not going because a person was able to reenlist. blah blah blah.

so iv been looking to get some gig worthy gear. i just bought a pf350.

im looking for a cab for it. i was looking at the smaller ampeg cabs and i want to run the head at 4 ohms, and do not want multiple cabs.

so whats a cab that meets this criteria:
1. 4 ohm
2. no 15's
3. at least 250 watts
4. would prefer nothing bigger than a 212
5. kinda light
6. $400 or less, im working on a budget.

used is ok! what should i be looking for?

i found an ampeg fridge for really cheap on craigslist, but i dont want to hear a first sergeant "we got soldiers doing__________ in their rooms, come on nco"s!!!!!

Well, if you insist on getting a 4 ohm cab, I wouldn't go any *smaller* than a 2x12. So, if that's as big as you're willing to go, I'd be looking for used 2x12's.

What about the Ampeg PF210, oh it's 8 ohms.
GK 2x12 or GB 2x12
Yep, ya don't want much less than a 2x12, maybe 210 smallest. Ya won't get heard if playing with drums

4-ohm GK Neo212-II should be on your short list, for sure.

gk mbe 2X12 not larger than a 2X12, not a 15, over 250 watts, 4 ohms, sounds awesome, and best of all its 34 pounds. I intend to pair mine up with a pf500 at some point.

Honestly, if you want a smallish cab, you do yourself a disservice by ruling out 8 ohm cabs. A 100w bump in wattage results in a little more headroom and a slight volume bump, but nothng very significant.

Get the Avatar TB153 (4 ohm version) while they last. Dynomite cab by any standard and especially for the money. NEO going bye bye so act now. I know it's a bit more than you wanted to spend but the cab is what you hear and it's a cab that you can push.

Get an Avatar 212 Neo

Avatar cabs are great, Cheap, and sound great.
The 212 Neo cab at 4 @ is 500 Watts. More then enough for a PF 350 Head
