Sign in to disble this ad
I play an ampeg SVT 4 Pro head with a hartke 4x10 cab... and recently it has been acting up... and my back up GK is gone as well... and I'm in the market for a good back up amp in a combo form... im more of a fan of 10s do to the punch and clarity factor... give me your ideas and thoughts... im a fan of the Ampeg sound, seeing as i play a little of every style.... Currently looking into SWR, Aguilar, Mark Bass and Carvin as well as Ampeg...
thanks for the responses ahead of time =D

I checked out a Fender combo:
here is a link :

Its not cheap (more than the SVt4pro) but it should be worth looking at . . . . .

Great value, can run an extension, and is only 33 lbs.

Good Luck!

spent the past few hours checking things out... im almost looking more at the Carvin BX series and getting a new cab just have interchangeable heads.. and those things are like feathers... 5.8 pounds-less than 11 for the 1500 model... hmm... and I've never really heard a bad review on a carvin... the ability to have total tonal control with midsweeps and such makes me happy... could have one complete sound with the conventional hi low knobs... then flip the switch to the eq...

I've actually played that fender model at my local music shop... it had a great sound but lacked a lot of the tonal customization that i like... and its over 100 pounds...eesh lol

and at the price i cant really go wrong.. any more ideas would be appreciated... looked at ebs a little too idk though...
