I have a GK 1001RB-II which is small and light enough for me, I just miss the lack of tube sound sometimes. You can get it pretty warm, but I would still prefer the tube inside for at least some tube gain.

That's why I'm leaning towards the GK Fusion series, the 550 model for ex. or something hybrid from Aguilar.

I also heard that the Tonehammer from Aguilar produces a killer sound, and is light and small aswell. I personally like that head, guess I'm a kind of an Aguilar boy... hehe.

It's just that when you hear an Aguilar head+box set or Aguilar head+bergantino box you just don't want to hear nothing else anymore

The yellow light indicates that the gain button has been selected, it means `tone heaven`

To make the Streamliner 900 clip you would have to be at ear-drum damaging levels !!

GK 1001RB all the way! Really any of the models they make would be great though.

The Genz Benz 9.0 has always been great for me. 3.75 lbs and 900 watts!

I just recently started using a Streamliner 900 and it is SO much heavier than my Shuttle 6.0 - I just can't believe the difference! It is almost TWICE the weight!

OK, so it is 6.5 lbs instead of 3.75! And sounds great!

Hope you can tell I'm just kidding - it still has a weight:tone ratio that is off the charts and I a VERY pleased with it. We are just so spoiled with the weight now.

Markbass Little Mark 800. There is also a tube preamp version of the same.

I think I could handle 6 1/2 pounds. I see a lotta folks loving the Genz amps -- there must be a reason!

+1 on the Markbass Little Mark 800.

I have the tube version. 6.31lbs - less than the 500W version. Its so efficient. The power section is a Class D amp. I can't say that the tube does very much so you might be better to buy the non tube version and a distortion pedal. They are modern but smooth with a couple of retro mimic knobs. I've played through several different Little Marks at jam nights and not found a bad one.
