Looking for qualified repair for an SVT

Howdy, folks! Anybody know of a good repair shop or tech anywhere near Tallahassee FL that would be qualified to work on a late 70's SVT? I just got this head - thanks WolfeHollow, it sounds awesome - but some of the pots are a little scratchy and I want to have the power cord replaced (ground pin is breaking). Pretty basic stuff, I know, but I don't want anybody in it for anything who's gonna be guessing.

I know there's one place here, Class A Electronics, that's supposed to be pretty good, but I heard they lost their Ampeg guy a while back and I don't know the status there now. I'm probably gonna call and ask them, but I'd love some recommendations from some other TB'ers to go on.

Check in the FAQ listing. There is a page called "good amp techs" filled with user recommendations. Should be a few in your area.

The only one here that was listed was Class A, next closest was Jacksonville. So, it looks like Class A gets first dibs, at least. Thanks.

usually when a tech looks at an SVT they either smile with a look of familiarity or tell you flat-out that they don't work on big tube amps.

there's no harm in asking if he/she has ever worked on an old SVT or how comfortable they are working on one.
