Looking for a Shallow power amp, (10" deep about 100-200W at 8ohms)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey All

As title reads,

I'm looking for a Power amp which is between 100W and 200W at 8ohms

10" (or there abouts but 10" is ideal) to fit in my shallow rack with my SVP Pro's

Also UK sources are much appreciated as i am in the UK after all

Thanks in advance!

ALSO and this is sort of important to the related topic, either the amp must have two channels to drive each Pre-amp and this would save some money

or should i just buy two power amps?
Would cost more and use valuable rack space??

Opinions?

Thanks Guys!
AC,

Carvin DCM200L.
http://www.carvinguitars.com/product...roduct=DCM200L

1u, bridges to 200w @ 8 ohms, 1.0v sensitivity. Ding.

Not sure how much it'd cost to import but I wouldn't expect it'd be that much worse than most of what's available over there.

The QSC PLX series is ideal for you. Carvin also makes good shallow power amps, but I'm not sure I'd recommend them outside the US (for service issues). QSC will be fine internationally. Most power amps have two separate channels, so that's not going to be a problem for you to find.

Question though, are you using different settings on each preamp? If so, is there a particular reason you want to send them to separate amps and separate speaker cabs?

Thanks for the quick replies and the great advice guys!

Well i have two separate rigs basically like a mini sheehan rig

Two Pre amps two cabs but hopefully (as i need to save money and rack space) one power amp to power both pre amps

if that makes sense?

I'm poor with words haha

basically two totally separate rigs joined by this power amp

each set up is for each pickup of my two basses one is a Yammie Attitude the other a Modded P-bass

OK, so each bass has two separate outputs, and one pickup goes to a "clean" rig while the other pup goes to a "dirty" rig?

Yup pretty much on the money!

except one is always dirty but the same "side" is always set up to be effected or run dirty

so yes

Anyone know where i can find them?
