Looking for a TL606 cutsheet

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm thinking of building an EVTL606 cab, I've found the plans, but am looking for a cutsheet, since I'm not a much of a draftsman, and I figured that maybe someone had done one up before, but I couldn't find one with a search.

Thanks

Colin

I don't mean anything bad by this, but really...you can't figure out how to cut 6 rectangles out of a sheet of plywood?

Take a piece of paper and using the dimensions from the plans, cut out the pieces from a sheet of paper (to scale...like 1 inch = 1 foot so a 4 inch x 8 inch piece of paper = a 4 foot x 8 foot sheet of plywood). Then reassemble them on a 4" x 8" sheet of paper to see how they best fit. Use the leftover for cutting out bracing. Use actual plywood, not the paper, for the cab build though.

Cut Sheet

There's a "Parts List" in the plan... Use that to make your templates from, then lay out on your plywood sheet to fit (as Sundogue previously mentioned). Try to line up "parts" with as many "like" dimensions inline as possible for fewer cuts.

Here's my set of 4 TL cabinets:

Here's the old EV builder plans ...check this link out

http://archives.telex.com/archives/E...rs%20Plans.pdf

The sizes of the boards to cut are there, under the parts list

Hey toobalicious,

Since you’re in the neighborhood drop me a line. I may have something you’re interested in.

Haha! Thanks! They sound as good as they look too! They've been around for 11 years now (this photo was taken 14 months ago).

The 1x12 and 1x15 combo to sound quite good together... You can use one or both and be covered for any situation. Food for thought when you and Colin_D build your own.

I re-coned a pair each of EVM-15Ls and EVM-12Ls - both are 400 watt drivers now due to the replacement voice coil (EV re-cone kits), if anyone is interested.
