Loudest and deepest cab?

Running Amplitube 3 in front of my GK Neo 2x12's powered by a GB Streamliner 900 or Aguilar DV750. The lows are so intense I'm considering an Avatar TB153.

Any other reasonably sized/weight cabs I should consider?

fEARful 1515/66/1

Might also check out the 15/6/1 or the fEARless 215 and 115.

The ACME cabinets (for instance the B4) go a lot deeper than the fEarful and its siblings. It will not be very loud unless you have lots of power available.
You can get it in a 4 Ohm version which will make your amp put out a bit more extra power than the 8 Ohm 15/6 etc.

My only negative to the ACME's is the sensitivity. An 8 Ohm 15/6 is going to be as loud or louder than a 4 Ohm B4 with the same amp.

Barefaced cabs go lower on the spec sheet, I'm not sure it makes much difference below 30 odd Hz, but it's on the sheet.

I have a Big Twin T running with a crown XTi1000 amp. The spec says 127db, wouldn't like to test it tbh.

It makes my SR5's B strings sound absolutely thunderous, its small and very light.

Same kind of deal as the fEARful's mentioned, just another option.

In my limited experience, loud and deep can't coexist in a "resonably sized" cabinet.
The fEARful 12/6 is the best compromise I've found.

Loudest and deepest....

Here's a contender, loaded with 3015LF or dual 12's.

DIY either from scratch or Lelands flatpacks or through authorized builders.

My Dually 2-15 can push some serious air! 60 lbs and easy to move.

Cheers,

I agree if you're looking for something to do a subwoofer's job, a subwoofer is going to do it best. However folded horns like the ones above are a little excessive in size. The Yorkville LS608 is a nice compromise, 103dB sensitivity and 700W RMS in a 26"x23"x24" 86lb package. The cabinet also suits an RCF LF18N451 driver, which is 1500W RMS though slightly less sensitive by about 1.5dB. Folded horns will be more efficient, but for the size and price you can just get more LS608's, and surely you won't always need more horsepower than one can dish out, especially with a 1500W driver.

LOL!
ACME's sound close to the OLD CV 18's but without the horn effect.

In my spandex & long hair decades, I had this on each side(except one side had the 1/2 size fiberglassed CV 18:

A close sound to the above(without the horn projection):

This works well too except I'm not lugging 100 lb cabinets:

PS: The bass ain't mine, I don't own any Fender basses(only clones).

NICE Acoustic Jazzbo58 and you're where I spent 30+ years in bands!!!

Up to this summer I'd have agreed with you, and was contemplating recreating a back-line like I used to have in the 80's and 90's bi-amped, 6x10 or 8x10 and maybe a 2x10+hy for the top... heavy, big and rock n roll...

Then I stumbled across Alex at barefaced...

The Big Twin IS a legitimate replacement for massive back-line, as is (I suspect) the Super 15 or the 69 or even the modular multi-boxes he does.

I'm also certain that similar light, very rigid multi-speaker boxes from BFM or fEARful will do the job. Cab, driver and amp design has come on some way in 20 years it seems.

I have no hesitation in recommending these cabs, go check them out.

The big twin is definitely an amazing cab. This side of the pond its cousin is the fEARful 1212/6. I would love to have either provided for me at a gig. That said, the 1515/66 is the next step up in terms of capability.

Couldn't agree more. Barefaced and fEARful cabs (as well as a few other makers) Using the 3012LF or 3015LF, x-over and smaller mid drivers simply crush some "industry standard" cabs. But alas, people would rather bash them than try them. Their loss, I'll stick with my fEARful.

This sounds familiar....

This conversation has been going on for a very long time. Everyone will have their favorites and nobody is either wrong or right. Every cab mentioned so far works well and sounds great.

For me, it's a 1515/66/1 that does it.

I'm getting all I can stand from a fEarful 15/6. LOVE it. I think about that 15/15/6/6/1 often, but then I remember how lazy I am. Seriously, I've been too loud with my Carvin BX1500 @ 5. I would just be intolerable with the big boy. If you haven't tried one of the new cabs with the "super 15" drivers, you just can't know what you're missing.

Another vote for the 15/6/1 with a 15 sub or the 1515/66/1 . With two 15" woofers fEarfuls are very deep and can go too loud . Fairly easy to haul too .
