Picked up a couple of used GK 410 BLX cabinets for next to nothing, hope there's 4 good speakers between the 2 and maybe the 2nd one becomes a later addition. 8 ohms x 400 watts rated each cabinet
This is a project for the 16 year old metal head as Dad prefers the 35lb GK combo.
There is a speakerless GK backline 112 in the house, I believe 8 ohm output. We could use that amp I'm thinking. 100 watts.
Option 2 - find/buy a preamp (his main ax is an SRX with a preamp, back up is a Cort passive) and use a couple of old lonely Adcom hifi power amps, 300 watts each as a temp solution.
Option 3 - Find a real bass head.
