You'll have to imagine the 12 sub, it's not ready yet.
It oughta pretty well look like the 12/6/1, without the 6/1, and with the driver moved up to the top of the box...
It sounds pretty good. I imagine the 12 is still "tight" as I don't have a lot of time on it.
The Walkabout is a fail with the 12/6/1 alone: nothing lie enough power to move it well.
The Fusion is pretty decent.
The MB 800 lights it up well; as does the M9.
There's a pad back switch for the 18Sound 6" mid; a padded back level for 12/6/1, and second position for 12/6/1 + 12 sub.
At home, that 18Sound is very forward, even in the padded back position. I imagine it'll sound right with a band jangling around me.

The idea is that you undo the pad when you add the second cab, so yeah, you're likely to prefer it padded back when used solo. |

We talk on the phone, I answer your questions and explain various things. Then you don't bother to go with one of my authorized builders at all when you do jump, but instead go with someone who's been riding on my plans for more than a couple years now - making more money off them than I ever have.

Never could really understand how a cab that uses off the shelf drivers in a WinSID designed box is in some way 'proprietary' or any more of a 'copy' than a 410 with tweeter box or a 212 or whatever. As you know, Don has been making mid driver loaded boxes in various configurations for well over a decade. and he uses either his own custom Patterson crossovers or 'off the shelf' crossovers for those on more of a budget.
The best version IMO of a 12/6 I've heard to this point is a rear ported version Don builds with a Faital mid driver and a Patterson crossover. That would actually be my choice if I went with a 12/6, but pure IMO there. That build kind of sits in between Roger Baer's wonderful 12/6 and the 12/6 builds using the 18sound mid driver... a bit more true low end than Roger's box, and a smoother, more organic top end than the mighty 18Sound. And, the rear ports allow for a smidge smaller box dimensions.

Now that he is on the left coast, it would certainly be a factor if I ordered again. I remember he was having problems with a shipping company that handled some of the larger cabs. I used to just drive up to Detroit and pick mine up . Damn !
