Thankfully, I didn't have a wad of cash or a credit card dying to be maxed out. Otherwise, I think I would have walked out with an Orange 200AD with the 4x10" and 1x15' cabs. I haven't had an amp where the low notes hit me in the gut like that one did in a long time! It's probably time to simply acknowledge that all these clean, articulate amps aren't what I'm looking for. Instead, I'll take a rack of bottles glowing through a grille and a set of drivers making my pants wave as I play.

The Orange gear does have an awesome "old school" sound. Their OBC115 cab definitely feels good when you stand in front of it.

you think the 410/115 hit you in the gut, try using two 410's or two 115's with it! you'll get hit much harder!

congratulations, btw. there is no more manly sound on earth than a tube amp matched up with a big cab rig. that's why at age 49 i'm lugging the ampegs again.
