Are you the one selling the amp?
Well now, there's something you don't see everyday!
Amazing condition too.
It appears that the seller is a music store in Phoenix, AZ.
OK, just making sure. Interesting amp, how do they sound?
As for Basshappi's comment, pretty much the same line was used by an unnamed character in "Johnny Dangerously". Great movie, highly recommended.
1960s 50 W solid state bass amp = neat decoration / curiosity
Not worth the time to go through and replace caps, add a three-prong power cord, etc.... unless you're really really into Magnatone, or had one when you were a kid.
IF I am not mistaken, I heard an interview with Carole Kaye and she mentioned that she was using Magnatone amps for most of her recordings around L.A. back in the sixties.
The Magnatone factory was local to me. A band I auditioned for in the 60s had won some sort of battle of the bands and were fully outfitted with Magnatone gear. The only thing I remember about the sound is that the guitar amps had true vibrato rather than tremolo.
Magnatone made guitars, too.
All I know if I had seen that in a Montgomery Wards catalogue back in the day I would have been drooling, now not so much..
