So, as some of you may know I've been trying to get into some Epi gear as I'm just kind of over my GIII cabs. Since I'm not having much luck in that dept, another option I thought of was to purchase some Marcus Miller neo drivers from SWR to A. make my cabs lighter and B.) change the tone a bit as the MM drivers were specifically picked/designed by MM and are different from the standard golight drivers. I sent an email inquiring about doing the swap and got a rather nasty e-mail scolding me for wanting to "modify their products". So my question is, would using these drivers in a standard GIII cab be that detrimental? I mean I would rather just sell my cabs and get into some Epifani PS-410 action, but if it's not going to happen then I thought this could be another acceptable solution. Thoughts?

If I'm not mistaken, GIII is ported, GoLight (specifically the MM stuff) is sealed. I can't imagine the drivers would be interchangeable.

Im guessing you haven't modeled the boxes with the different drivers...?

I realize that the MM cab is sealed where as all other SWR cabs are ported. I just thought the sealed box design was more for the overall tone of the cab and I could still use the different speakers he chose in a different cab since I imagine that his speakers sound better for my preferences than the typical SWR ones.
