Hello
Does Markbass still honor it’s 2 year exchange policy? I have a Mini CMD 121P, and have been having some issues with the fan failing and the tweeter seems to be blown.
Wrote to Markbass and they seem to now have an authorized service center in the US. I guess the bad news is I can't expect an exchange from Musician's Friend?
I recall reading several posts where people who purchase through guitar center were able to make exchanges when the product needed repair..? Anyone know what the latest is?
Peter Murray are you there?
Thanks,
Kirk
Here's a thread that quotes the terms of the two year warranty, but I haven't been able to find my paperwork to see if it reads the same in print..
Markbass warranties at GC - further clarification
=============
"Effective February 1, 2008, Markbass and its dealers in the USA have instituted a new warranty arrangement which streamlines coverage in the unlikely event that the user experiences a defect in manufacturing materials or workmanship.
The new warranty will provide for either off-site repair or replacement at the point of purchase at the sole discretion of the retailer and Markbass to the original owner for the period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
What this means:
Markbass items will be exchanged at the store if there is a defect in manufacturing or materials for the period of 2 years from the time of purchase. This warranty is for the original retail purchaser of the product only. This warranty does not cover abuse or neglect. If there is a question concerning determining this, the product will be sent to a USA Markbass distribution center for evaluation.
No exchange will be given until a determination has been made as to whether the item is defective or damaged by the user or incorrect use.
Markbass products will still qualify for an extended warranty or service plan which will extend the coverage beyond the 2 year manufacturer warranty."
