Was wondering which one would be most ideal cab for gig? I play a Little Mark Bass Amp and will get rid of my ashdown MAG cabs soon so looking into some better cab.

Well, a 2x10 would never be enough for me, so I hafta say 4x10. Bass volume requires alot of speaker to get loud, and chances are, you'd need to push the little 210 really hard to get up to gigging volumes.

If you are not going to get the traveller, but the bigger one with front port, I think it can be enough depending on what gigs to you go to. If it was me, If I knew 2x10" would cover live situations where no backline is provided, I'd get it. I think it is a nice cab.

I imagine that Trace can sound great though. If you have no problem moving it to gigs, it might be a better choice.

The Trace is cheaper compare to the Markbass, but Markbass is lighter to transport. But i'm going for sound/tone at the end of the day. I will probably bring the head into the shop to try it.

Both cab i'm looking at is second hand so they are cheaper compare to new.

actually i realise the Markbass 2x10 i was looking at is not the traveller. Is the Markbass Standard 2x10 with the bass relex thing.

I have used the markbass 210 combo (that has ports too) on several occasions and never felt that I'd need more volume, in fact I've never even had to really push the amp. But then again, I don't have to go against a wall of detuned distorted guitars either.

I'd get the markbass cabinet and get it a pair when you can afford one.

I used to have 2 1x12 Travelers with my LMII. Awesome setup. But, expensive.
How about the Genz-Benz Neo-X 212T? Good price, awesome price and light.

yeah i'm more into the Markbass Cabinet and i think it goes well with the little Mark 250 i got as well.

I was looking into the Warwick 4x10, Trace 4x10, Marshall 4x12 and altho i really like the 4x10 and 4x12 in term of volume and tone but i think its gonna be a pain in the butt to move by myself, specially the 4x12 Marshall.

I heard the 2x10 Standard 2x10HF is good cab and have plenty of low end as well so i think the cab is no messing around. I'm not very active atm and do small gig occasionally and i think the 2x10 will do the job well for home practice and small gig. Decent volume and easy transport as well. Maybe when i have more fund i will add another Markbass 2x10.

Guess i set my heart on the Markbass 2x10 already lol

I'm going to the shop to do the deal today to part ex my cabs for the new ones.

Going to bring my head to try out the Markbass Std 102HF and the Pre Gibson Trace Elliot 1048. Head to Head on both cabs to see which tone i like bass.

looking forward to hearing your choice.

I did not find the Markbass cab sufficient for a band without adding another speaker

I bought the Markbass Standard 2x10 instead of the trace due to weight problem.

Also i found the Markbass 2x10 handle the low end very good. Speaker doesn't distort when high volume so is good cab overall to go with my markbass head.
