Markbass 604 + GK 1001RB-II ??Help

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok, I have the GK RB1001RB-II head and the 410RBH cabinet as my current rig and was wondering if I could get the Markbass New York 604 cabinet and run it using my GK amp.

I have ear monitors and we have a good EAW PA with dual 18" cabinets and the goal is to bring the stage volume down and reduce the bleed over into the kick drum and mics. Plus I wouldn't mind carrying a smaller cabinet.

The big quetion is if the Markbass 604 would sound good with the GK head or do you really need to get the Markbass head?

I have a Markbass 604 cab that I use for small clubs with a GK MB Fusion and it sounds great. I also have Little Mark III amp as a backup. I rotate the amps every now and then just to switch things up. I am looking to add a second 604 to see how good two would sound. I have the Avatar TB153, but i am very interested to see if two 604's would do the trick. To answer your question, the GK amp should be fine.

Thanks. The numbers look good on paper, but it's good to have some real world review before spending that kind of money.
