Markbass advice

Bought the 102p yesterday from GC. Got it home and was playing Breedlove through it on 33% master volume 40% Gain and verything else flat. After 2 minutes had massive arcing/shorting (blue light...the whole works) from where cable was plugged in. Powered down after about 2 seconds.
Now have a loud hum/hiss when not playing a note and to my ear the tone is screwed..sounds almost empty/hollow.
Any idea what could have caused this and what "damage has been done"?

Bring it back right away. That doesn't sound good.

i wouldn't even begin to troubleshoot it. just return it to GC for another or a refund. they are very good about returns, or at least they always have been with me.
