Question Markbass CL 104 cabinet

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all,

I was looking into the Markbass CL 104 cab and can't find reviews online. I really dig that darker color and the hints of yellow. At the Markbass site it says the cab has been discontinued, but musicians friend is still selling them for full price. Anyone rocking the CL 104? What are you running it with? What are your thoughts? Does it rawk?
Thanks.

Anyone?

Anyone use one of these? They seem to be really rare.

I reviewed the CL108 (and Classic 300) in issue #2, and I liked that cab a lot. I've played the CL104 and CL106 at NAMM shows, and they seemed really nice, as well. I believe that they are all sealed enclosures, and they do sound a good bit different from the rest of the lineup. They're great for rock and roll, but able to cover a wider range of tones than you might expect.

Tom.

Nicest sounding MB cabs out there, but I believe the entire line has been discontinued.

Thanks guys,

Is anyone out there using this cab regularly and not just tried it once? What's the deal? If the Markbass Cl series is suppose to be better sounding cab, why are they being discontinued so quickly, and why they so rare and have so few users. Kind of gives me doubts. Anyone else?

SuperBeast....that looks like a rocking rig man, but those are not the cabs I was looking at....thanks anyway.

Anyone else? If Markbass gets so much love here, why are these cabs ignored or not used much?

It's probably got alot to do with the fact that mark bass is an itallian comapny and somewhat of a still newcomer in the market, theyt have to compete with the likes of Ampeg, Mesa, Fender ect that have been established as quality products for so many years and so many famous players using their stuff.. an uphill battle. I doubt it has anything to do with a lack of quality
