Markbass cmd 102p extension cab?

I am using the cmd102p with a very restrained country band (first gig tomorrow) . It is all I need indoors. I'm playing a Zon 5/1 with TI flats backed up with nickel low-rider loaded 55-94. Our next gig is in an arena for the up-coming chariot races so I will need more volume. Locally I can get either a 102p or 102 hf (with covers) for the same price. It would be a no brainer except I would like to use the the extension cab for practice with another band (classic rock) using my LMII amp. The practice area is very small so the 102p would be a better fit. Would I be compromising much by going this route or should I just go with the larger/heavier 102hf?

I'm told the HF has a little more low end, I've never played one. I just picked up a CMD 102p combo with a 102p Traveler cab and it gets ridiculously loud. I don't think you'll have any troubles either way.

+1. I have the 102p and it's great with the combo. Sitting on the floor, it still packs a lot of bass.

Thanks for the feedback so far. The thriftiness in me sez the hf is a better deal since it cost $150 more originally. I guess the other factor is how much easier is the 102p to schlep around; will I really notice the difference?

Are you in a position where you can play them both with the cmd 102p and let your ears decide? I think either one will get the job done. It's more of a personal preference.

Yeah I guess I can do the guitar center thing. About 80 miles round trip but doable.
