MarkBass Combo head fan has died........ ARGH!

Sorry if this is completely off base. But, I can't seem to get a response from Mark Bass....

The fan in my CMD 102P started making a bad buzzing noise a few weeks ago...

I checked it for obstructions, and have come to the conclusion that it simply wore our after all these years..

Has anyone else had this issue? If so, have you had to remove the amp from the combo and replace the fan?

It's well out of warranty, and so I will probably end up fixing it myself.

Pretty sure you will need to pull the amp chassis from the combo. I have not seen any amp with an externally replaceable fan. Once you do hopefully the voltage requirement will be on the fan label.

An old thread about the fan problem:
Markbass fan failure
If you are going to replace it, make sure you can locate a fan first, before opening the case.
