Markbass - deal?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey folks,

I have a chance to pick up a LITTLE MARK TUBE 800
and Traveler 102p off craigs list. Of course they are listed at like new. Asking $350 for the cab and $500 for the head.

Looking for your thoughts about the Markbass stuff and of course is this is a great deal or should I keep looking?

Thank you in advance! Gotta decide very soon so any quick advice responses would be awesome!

Cabs seems ok....
Head seems a little high... just saw it was a 800watt. might be OK, check new prices.

Check out new prices on MF.

I would def offer less for the cab.

will they split the items?

I've seen the LM Tubes go for around $450 on the classifieds here, so I agree with that being a bit high.

Also, have you tried MB cabs? I like MarkBass heads, but their cabs never did it for me. Love the LM + Aggie GS112 x2 set up, sounded great when I tried it at a friend's. I think many people find the MB cabs to be a love or hate type thing, so you should try em out first!

I agree about the cabs! Love or hate. I personally like them, altho, the tweeters are below standards. I usually turn them low or off.

Speakers for me, punch it out!

Yes he will split them. I tried the same cab new at GC. IT was selling for $525.00. I thought the cab sounded good and was able to produce good lows without "farting" out.

I also thought about new Carvin head and cab. Prices seem pretty good on new. Any thoughts on those compared to MB?

If you like it than that's cool, but the p stands for piezo tweeter and I think they suck and I'm not sure you can turn it off go for h (horn)
