Just played Gig #1 with my new (used) Markbass Little Mark II and new Epifani UL2 210 cabinet. Oh. My. Goodness. Now I know what everyone has been talking about here. The clarity and power of this thing is simply stunning -- I could hear every bad note I played! I am glad to be joining the 20th century, finally. We are five pieces with two (sometimes three) guitars and drums, and this thing cut through the mix like a knife through warm butter, and this with my $75 Mexi-P bass. I was so inspired that I am gonna get EMGs put on this thing. I can't even imagine what THAT is going to sound like. This Sunday I will be using my Dean RazorNT (active), and am very curious to hear how that will translate with the new gear. Also using a new Allen-Heath PA with my new Blue microphone, and the clarity we are getting with all that stuff is nuts.

| | | | old rig I have been using a 200 watt Eden Nemesis 2x10 combo since I bought it in 1997. Actually a VERY nice amp that I was very happy with for a long time. Used it up until this past Sunday, and never had a single problem with the thing -- still sounds very good. I was actually planning on getting another Eden, but I heard the Markbass head and really liked that. Got it used for $395. Had to buy the Epifani new (from Bass Specialties in Bensalem, PA). When I heard the two together it was heaven. The only cabinet I played that I thought sounded a little better was the Berg AE410, but that was something like $500 more and would have caused packing issues for us, as it is considerably bigger. But boy, did THAT sound awesome. And it is VERY light for its size. I would highly recommend either.

I also owned a Nemesis combo, the 115, and I agree that it's a very nice rig. I "influenced" a friend to get one, he's used it on hundreds of gigs and hasn't had a single issue.

I'm using a Markbass F1 head and a 4 ohm UL-410 cab. Beautiful tone.
Was considering a UL-210. Is your a 4 ohm or 8 ohm cab?

I have a Warwick Double Buck 5 that I will run into a Markbass Little Mark Tube 800 into an Epi T-310. Any feedback for me on what to expect? I am SUPER EXCITED!
(FYI My previous rig was a MarkBass SA450 into an Ampeg 6x10) |
