I've been using the f1 at home for a while now and finally took it to a rehearsal. I usually use a Mesa Titan. The f1 sounded amazing, and interestingly fairly burly/mean with my single coil loaded sadowsky and a pick. Really surprising to me that it doesn't just sound good and clean, it gets a really legit rock sound with a big cab, with just a tiny bit of lows and low mids added. Then with my flea 5 I used the two filters to mellow things out, and that sounded great in the mix too. Only thing I missed from the Titan was the dirt. I ran the master at about 9oclock with a 3 guitar rock band!

Thumbs up, and not just as a backup.

Love my F1. Will upgrade to an F500 at some point.

+1 While the F1/F500 are 'clean', they have an upper mid brightness and nice character/warmth in the mids that really translates the grind of single coil pickups nicely.... my favorite head(s), period. Loud, reliable, small, light, and 'clean but not sterile'.

You gave me great advice on this head ken. I liked the RH450 but felt it was missing something without a bunch of adjusting.

I absolutely love the F1. And the size/weight of them is phenomenal.

My F1 is great and ballsy through a pair of GS112s, so yeah I'll bet it is very impressive through the GS412! A tiny bass boost and some VLE is about all I use.

It's crazy, the head wasn't even warm to the touch after loud songs.

Technology FTW.
