I wrap mine in a foam granny pad and stick it in a milk crate on top of all of my cables and such. Winds up with two inches or so if very resilient foam and a milk crate all around it.

I grabbed a $2 brief case from a Salvation Army store. Keeps the amp safe, has enough room for pwr, spkr & a cuppla instrument leads, & pockets for a tuner & a few picks, patch leads, pens, music books etc.... That's housed my LMII for at least a cuppla yrs now. I'm sure it'd work fine for a F500 also.

I bought the Rack Ears for mine. I also use synths with my cover band so I keep everything in one rack to make it easier to transport.
Funny thing is the F500 is the smallest thing in the rack!!!

Here is what's pictured:
  • X2 Wireless
  • Furman PL-8 Plus
  • Markbass F500
  • Korg Toneworks Tuner
  • Roland XV-5080 Synth Module

I'm at work so no pic, but my F1 is mounted in a SKB 4U rackmount case (using MB's rackmount ears obviously) with a TC Electronics C300 compressor/gate and a cheap power conditioner with lights. Simple, lightweight and protected.

Mine's in my pedalboard

I'd like to get a second one for when I don't need effects- when that happens, I'll just put it in my gig bag. They'll fit in just about any bag out there.

Laptop case. I just took the F500 into bestbuy and tried it in all the differences cases. There was nothing that was a perfect fit but at $19.95 I found a nice one that was a little big, but works great. Also in the laptop case it can fit the head in my bass gig bag, which I was not sure the official case (with it's outside pocket) would be able to do easily.

People with Laptop cases- Does the cushion seem protective enough- like if you were to drop it it might prevent damage?

@ Rpsands- Sounds the most protective method, alongside carrying in a small suitcase with foam wrapped around it.!

@Rodl2005- Seems easy and sensible to me!

@ Bryan- very awesome.

I keep mine in the poorly named maxpedition Operator Tactical Attache

http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/...ACHE-13p70.htm

F1 in one side, cables in another. Strobostomp in one outer pocket, VT Bass in another. Radial JDI in a side pocket. Other pockets carry earplugs, string winder, spare strings, staff paper, pens and pencils, screwdrivers, allen keys, spare 9Vs, spare strap, etc.

Overpriced bag but bombproof quality. And it's great having everything in one place when you're a forgetful type like I am...

I stick mine in my gig bag! It's great for living in Boston with no car- one trip for everything- bass, amp, cab (Accugroove Tri-112L), and accessories.

You could also try Ebay for the MarkBass bag - I just scored one for $30.
