Markbass Little Mark Tube 800 Amp

I just bought the Markbass Little Mark Tube 800 Amp head as a replacement for my Ampeg SVT. I used it at a gig and it kept up with the rest of the band. It is not quite as loud as the Ampeg SVT. I had the gain on 11:00 and the master at 11:00. I don't think I would put the gain up any louder than noon - the distortion is not as pretty as the Ampeg's. I haven't figured out a sound yet for my classic Rock band, but so far I have kept all EQ's around noon and the VLE and VPF filters at 9:00. I keep the tube/solid state knob at noon. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. The amp is very light and I transport it in a laptop bag which beats dragging around the heavy Ampeg SVT.

The Markbass heads do a great job as loud, clean, accurate power sources for the VT preamp pedal for those who want to emulate an SVT tone. Fantastic and highly recommended if you want it light and loud, but also want the option of dialing in that Ampeg grind and wool.
