I have a chance to check these two heads out. They're both about the same price. MB is from a fellow TB'er, while the Eden is a craigslist sale.
How do they compare, soundwise featurewise, etc?

Supposedly the Eden has more tube-like gain? |

So the same question applies, markbass littlemark III vs. Eden WT-400 traveler plus.
He also said he was selling a trace elliot 4x10 but now he says it's really a 1 15" |

The LMIII is nice (very small and light, about half the weight of the Eden) but wasn't as much "my sound" if that makes sense. I also missed the massive EQ control of the Eden for cello use. |

head is a WT400. i have & svtII & an eden i was considering MB as well, but
i wanted a variable midrange or parametric eq. i like it,
but it doesn't sound like an svt.

I have never though of the Ampeg MarkBass match but it is true. I just got my SD1200 and that is how I would describe the sound. It is very much like an Ampeg but SS very warm like an Ampeg and very powerful too.

I own MarkBass LMII and I used to own Eden Navigator (+power amp)
MarkBass: small, light, decent amount of EQ, IMO does not have an instantly recognizable "Mark Bass" sound which is a good thing.
Eden: Relatively small, not as light, a bit more midrange bark, amazing Eden EQ, IMO everything you plug in will have Eden coloration to it (some people like it, some don't, matter of taste).
Try before you buy, Markbass is usually stocked at any GC, with eden bring your own gear to test it. They are both equally capable amps with different flavor to them. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
