MarkBass LittleMark Tube 800 - anyone try switching out the tube?

I just recently purchased the MarkBass LMTube 800, and while I am absolutely in love with it, I've noticed the ss/tube mix is way more subtle than I was hoping for. So I was curious if anyone around here has done a little experimentation with different tubes, and if so, what was the outcome?

Probably not worth it. It isn't a standard 12ax7 tube, but a much smaller one. I'm not sure it is even easily replaceable.

There are a ton of threads and posts about the tube not doing a whole lot. The LMIII sounds much warmer and fatter (and I guess some would say 'tubey') than the LM800Tube in 'tube mode'.

It's one of those soldered onto the board tubes, so I imagine it's quite difficult to replace.

And while I agree that I could find a warmer tone out of an LMIII, I really needed the power and I've since found a few tones out of the LMT800 I'm happy with that don't really need the tube anyway.
