markbass and mesa boogie

I have a mesa boogie 4x10 diesel cab and am thinking about getting a Markbass CMD 102p combo. My question is can i Run the mesa cab using the markbass? I am wondering this incase I might need a little extra power. Or should I sell the Mesa and get a Markbass extention cab? Alot of people use the same cabinets but this is what I have to work with right now.

if the diesel is an 8 ohm cab then yes you can use it with a MB CMD102P. The Cmd102p puts out 300 watts stand alone, if you plug in the diesel it will put out 500 watts (250 to the internal 2x10 and 250 to your 4x10). Where are you located? Your profile doesn't say.

Never tried this combo, but if low end punch is what you are looking for, why not try feeding the boogie with a better head rather than use it as an extension for a combo? You can get a pretty decent head for less than the combo.

I have been thinking that. Was thinking about a good tube head, possibly a mesa. Any suggestions? I have a Cort artisan 5 string with active pickups if that helps
