I had an old GK150rb combo. I tried a number of speakers that would fit in the space allowed. Very small space. Non of them ever worked as well as the speaker designed for the box.

I have a 121p combo. The actual speaker box is almost the same size as the old GK combo. For its size, the amount of volume and lows from the 121p is amazing. Especially if you can put it in front of a wall.

I think I'd be very careful about spending a lot of money on a speaker that might fit in the space, but wasn't designed for that box and its special needs.

You've posted a few separate but loosely connected questions here, and received what I suspect are largely unsatisfactory answers. If you can let the crew know what you're trying to achieve and what you've come up with so far, you'll get far better advice.

If you're going to ask what I think you're going to ask, I imagine you can be saved a good deal of money and heartache.

Not without a mid driver since the 3012 LF only does 2k and has a nasty spike at around 1.5k. If you want a full range neo replacement, you'd want the 3012HO.

I suspect that driver needs a substantially bigger box than is provided by the Mini 12.

Define what "benefit" you are looking for... If the speaker is blown maybe, but you'd be better off replacing it with a factory spec'd speaker... If you want more bottom end then you are probably going to be better off adding one of MBs extension cabs, which really open things up. If that isn't an option you may save yourself a lot of headache by selling it and buying something better suited to the sound you are looking for.
