| | | | Markbass NY122 vs (2) TC RS212

Greetings!
So here's the deal: I'm moving to another country and I can only take the bass and pedals with me, so I'm selling my rig.
I'm planning to buy Markbass F1 given the amazing reviews of the folks here (still gonna A/B it with the LMIII at the store), but I have a question:
Besides better monitoring due to the height of the rig and lesser portability, are there any other differences between a Markbass NY122 and (2) TC RS212, given that both would total 800W@4Ohm but one has two less speakers ?
I'm searching for a fat, deep, punchy rig (dub/funk) that still remains crystal clear on more nuance-filled jazz stuff.
Any suggestions on other equipment are totally welcome as well.
Thank you all! |

I'm not questioning your logic, I just can't understand how twice the speakers but same amount of power result in TONS of increased volume. pasta4lnch, thanks a lot for your feedback on the NY122! |

The NY122 is nice, I've played one...but I'd go with TC.

Can you please tell me a couple of brands or specific amps that have such feature?
Thank you! |

The actual power handling (as in, power they can take before they stop getting louder and just start compressing) will probably be negligibly different from the speakers in the RS212.
