Markbass question

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey Guys, could someone tell me if the Markbass LM11, LM111 and the Markbass combo amp are all the same dimensions..I'm using a 2/10'' combo now and would like to get a backup amp and just wondering if the LM11 or LM111 would fit into my combo..and does it have the same screw holes for mounting as the combo amp, i know the combo amp doesn't have a top...does that make any difference
Thanks

I am 98% sure all three are the same size. I am not sure about the screws lining up.

The screws will not line up. However.... It would not be hard to simply have holes drilled in the top of an LMII that would match the screw holes. Its also fairly easy to get a little piece of Aluminium that could fit in the exposed section of the amp from the combo. Either way, I know guys who have done both of these things successfully.

I have the combo, and from what I can tell it's the same size. I've removed the head from my combo and it would indeed be easy to get a piece of flashing from Home Depot, paint it, drill some holes in it, and make a cover.

I view the combo as a cabinet with a built in rack complete with cooling ducts.

Thanks for the answers guys, what I want to do if I have a problem with the amp in my combo take it out and slide in a LM11 or LM111...I used the Markbass for the first time Saturday and loved the sound so I'm considering trading my GK 1001RB 11 for a LM11 or a LM111....

Not sure if an LMII or LMIII would fit in the combo head spot with the top cover on or not.
