How loud is this 500W head?
Markbass stuff is usually very loud, but I can't find much info on this particular head.
Also, does it get into too dirty/overdriven sound if you wanna crank it up loud? I'd like it to have some grit, but mostly just to warm it up with its preamp tube, and I'm wondering if it would be enough to power a 412 NEO cabinet. My 700RB II GK gets loud enough, but it's too grindy because of its SS nature and because I'm really cranking it up, I'm out of headroom. I'm thinking a warmer head like R500 would work better but I'm a bit worried about it being "only" 500W.
Ideally, I would get GB Streamliner 900, but it's a b***h to get one of those here, not to mention expensive.
This way, I could trade in my 700RB II for a Marbass R500.
So, is it too dirty at loud volumes?
Is it loud enough?
Is slapping a total no on this amp (I don't slap much, but I do like to slap a bit sometimes)?
Why the heck were they discontinued? (too different from a regular MB?)
Is it true the high end on these amps goes only up to like 3Khz?
Thanks in advance!
