Markbass Traveller 102P question

Sign in to disble this ad
i about to but a littlemark III head, and now i want to choose the right cab.
i need enough power for small gig, pubs, coffeshops etc'.

is the Markbass Traveller 102P cab has enough power?
will it be a good combination with LM III head?
does it have enough power as a single cab?

i can't afford myself now to but 2 cab, but that's will be a consideration in the furure... .

I find it hardly has the lows a bassist would want. Low-mids it has plenty of though.

Take a look at the 121H cab. I didn't think the 102P sounded full enough.

There's also a new cab called BAS 121 lite which is Alain Caron's signature cab. It looks interesting.

If you want to go with 10's, look for a 102HF. It's a bigger, front ported cabinet. I have one paired with my 102p combo and it works very well. Even my low B has plenty of punch.

I agree (if you want 2x10's).

Yes. I gigged with this setup for a year (except with a LM2 not LM3). It was plenty of power for every room, even medium sized stages with huge PA's. I got used to the soundman asking me to turn down....

You'll be very happy.

The 210 will be perfect for your planned usage. Also look @ a 151 Traveler (not the NY). It's a great sounding cab that can also be called upon to fill bigger venues than the ones you mentioned.

If you are open to slightly offbeat suggestions, you should also try the 604NY. It is as warm as a 151 but lighter and tighter.

The 604 is amazing for it's size. Can't get over how big those little speakers sound.
