Marshal Half-Stack w/ Randal cab

I was thinking about getting this. He wants $200. I know nothing about amps, but I'm pretty sure it's a guitar amp, no? But Jack Bruce used one I think. Worth it?

Thanks,
Tommy

Problem is the cab- you can use ANY amp you want with bass, but NOT a guitar speaker cab. At least, not at volume.

Well I just need something better than what I have. I'm currently running through a 10watt Squier guitar amp. Would the head be worth the price?

better than a 10w practice amp, not as good as a used $200 actual bass amp.

Good if you play nu metal.

But bass?

Thats what, a Solid State Marshall and a Randall cab that is as good as the Marshall 4x10 cabs made for their solid state amps?

I personally think you'd have a hard time ever getting rid of it, even for $100 a piece.

.... Or are you trying to be funny?

Thanks, I thought these things were actually sought after. I'm glad I didn't email the guy.

It is real easy to quickly waste a lot of money with these toys. The half stack looks cool but it will eventually be unplugged and sitting there for show by a guitar player. Just buy a new $200 amp like this and you will be a lot happier.

Ampeg, $100 - $200, NewGear at Guitar Center.
