Marshall MB450H headphone jack distortion
I just bought a second hand Marshall MB450H head with the matching 4x10 and so far I'm loving it, getting this heavy gear delivered to my front door by the seller from 200km away.
I'm planning to transport it to our band's rehearsal space (bought the Marshall cause the second guitarists 5150 was killing my combo) but for dialing in sounds, I need headphones since my fiancee or my neighbors don't appreciate how loud this setup is.
For some reason, there's distortion, even when fiddling around with both channel's volume, blend volume and master volume. I wonder what gives. Something is overdriving. Maybe the jack is bunk, dunno.
Headphones are AKG 701 which are only 62 ohms. I suppose I could long XLR to plug into my Presonus, but that's an extra cost.
