Marshall Question

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently had the chance to play through a Marshall VBA400 and VBC412 cabinet and thought it sounded great. I have looked at Guitar Center and Musicians Friend to no avail, both indicating the amp and cabinet are "discontinued". They still appear on Marshall's website but I am uncertain where I can find them. Does or have any of you played through them? Like them or not? and most importantly know where I might buy them? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Very Happy VBA 400 user. Id suggest getting a sealed cab to go with it (such as the VBC412 or similar) but YMMV.

I don't think they are discontinued so much as out of stock and won't commit to the numbers necessary...these amps are available through dealers that handle marshall or on the used market.

I agree that they are incredible rigs that have been largely overlooked in the states. They're a lot more prevalent in yerrup.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the feedback. I am still being told by some dealers that the items, especially the VBC412 cabinet is "discontinued", but have Bananas out of California seeing if they can still get me one.

Before purchasing a new amp, you might want to hold off until after NAMM, which starts on January 13. There are always a lot of new product announcements made at this show.

It could be that the VBA400 is being replaced with a newer product. If it is, existing stock might be discounted after the show.
