so the jumping theory would apply to 2 modern super bass amps?
just like jumping channels with an old 4 input Marshall superbass? I must try this.
I picked this up a month ago - JCM 800 Bass Series MKII 100w, w/a 1935a 4x12 Bass cab. This makes
2 100w Super Bass MK IIs for me. 1 w/ vert inputs, 1 w/ horiz. inputs.
I tried the horiz. input 1st and it sounded damn good. Next time I tried the verical input and it sounded even better (I read the older vertical input amps have better mids and highs).
This is competing w/a 600w mosfet M2000 boogie w/ 2-1x15s.
It completely holds up next to the boogie, I love the dynamics and the amp seems to just blend better w/ the 100w JCM 900 & 100w Laney protube guitar amps I play bass against.
I play in a crossover band and get gigs in both the punk and metal genres.
I used my boogie last tuesday opening for NoMeansNo (canadian punk).
I'm gonna try the Marshall at the Red Fang (portland metal) gig in a few weeks.
My plan is to move primarily to the Marshall, & this gig will be a great test run.
