Marshall VBA vs. Fender Bassman 300

I'd like to just hear what people have to say. I've owned the fender 300 for a couple of years now and have been more than satisfied. However, upon trying out a VBA I feel like a change maybe in order. Although, is it really worth it for that kind of a price gap? I guess its sort of clash of the titans.
