matching amp and cab

Sign in to disble this ad
I have come across a Kustom k250-2 and an Acoustic 405..
I think the k250 is rated 125 RMS and the 405 should be 170 RMS. Think any harm will come of it?
Thanks

Hi.

Unfortunately the numbers alone don't mean much, use Your ears and you'll be fine.

Nothing beats a good audition, pump up the volume to make sure it won't fart out on you and will give you a good clean tone.

Those numbers are so close it won't really make too much of a difference. Besides, are you going to be playing with the volume dimed all the time? Doubtful.

Bonus, if you cook the cab it gives you a perfect excuse to get another one!

Just turn down the volume if the speakers start to complain.
