Matching markbass 104HF & 104HR

Sign in to disble this ad
I have read all over TalkBass that it is not good practice to mix cabs with different size drives or cab shape. For me the reasons for that makes sens. That being said, I have read a post from Peter Murray at Markbass (here http://goo.gl/qtvc) saying that it would be a great match to go with one 104HF and one 104HR (8 ohms each of course). Now I am confused.

Even on the MarkBass Website they suggest that the 104HR is a great match with a 151HR or 102HF.

So to mix or not to mix? That is the question.

What do you think?

Isn't the only difference the port design?

Slight SIZE difference in cab - hence front ports & HR being rrear ported. This DOESN'T mean U R 'mixing & matching driver sizes' U R still using 2 4x10 cabs & IMO should be a good match. I like the rear ported Mark Bass cabs. I like the front ported one's too
:-) whatever- This IS matching driver sizes- so you should be all good & with a KILLER & portable rig!
