MB 800 sounds like...?

man, this is killing me for real today! i'm about to go to GC to pick a GK1001RBII but i am wondering if the new MB800 is going to have similar tones and sounds? it looks cool, for sure. but the tone? classic GK? something different? stick with 1001RBII? or go for MB800 when it comes out???

Why dont you PM Bob Gallien here on TB and ask if the MB can cop the classic GK tones.

There are lots of threads which speak to the tone of the MB500, and IME, the MB800 sounds a lot like the MB500, but with more immediacy and dynamic power. I also did a review of the MB500 back in issue #2 wherein I discuss the tone of the MB500 compared to the 700RB-II.

The problem with the MB800 is WHEN will be delivered? Mine has been on order and was expecting it to be shipped already, but now I'm seeing reports of early September.

i have the 200 watt 115mb and it sounds so much more crisp and clean than my old 700rb 2x10. i wish i still had it. just depends on what you like. i know there are some pretty obvious differences in my experience compared with what your asking, but thought this might help a little.......
