Well, we've all seen photos of it, but, you will notice in the description you linked to, that it won't be available until JULY.

Seriously considering this when it's available. My Hartke has been hissing lately, and I can't complain about 5 pounds. Anyone have any experience with the brothers of this head, and would like to chime in? I'd be running it through an Ampeg 410HLF, or an Ampeg SVT 115. They get great reviews. I'm really liking this! Feedback?

I have posted about this head a couple of times here on TalkBass, but I'll say again that it is really something special.

It's worth a lot! Such a great deal, and like I said the baby brothers of this line are always raved about, and hard to get. I was never a huge GK fan, but I think I disliked the cabs more. I'm hoping this thing is a beast because I'm fully intrigued. And I think it'll kick through my Ampeg 410HLF.

I sure am impressed with my MB500 and expect the 800 to be a monster.

In your experience with the 500, do you think the 800 will give enough head room for such a small package? I've been disappointed before by MarkBass etc. with the lack of headroom. I'm not always in the PA, and I gotta say the MB Fusion 500 and the MB800 are looking REALLY good to me. I'd absolutely pick up the 800 if I know it'll drive my Ampeg 410HLF well enough. Thoughts?

And as far as tone goes, can you dial in pretty much whatever you like? I've heard that about these. I'm currently using a Hartke LH1000, but it's a tad hissy, probably because of really hot highs, and its heavy in my rack. I'd even swap out the Hartke for TWO GKs! Fusion on top, MB800 under it! Haha.

I never liked GK to be honest. But I love Ampeg cabs, and the reviews for these heads are stellar. The deal is incredible, and the weight? Can't beat it. I'm thinking it'll be a great mix.
