It does look like something that TCE would come up with. I imagine that the appearance is where the similarities end on the comparison.

Wow, a whole 40/60 or 80/120 watts!

Somehow, I think that the "usual suspects" in the micro amp world aren't exactly shaking in their respective boots right now. And I also wouldn't be surprised in the least if TC is confirming with their lawyers right now.

I wasn't thinking it was the same amp or even close. Looks like the same case or copy there of/same looks.

Unique Stylish Design
Compact form that will compliment any décor, with a stylish modern design, an intuitive front panel and a dual-function indicator ring.

That is how Behringer makes their money, and why they have been sued by everyone but Santa Clause. They copy everyone else's design using cheaper parts and then offer it at a better price. They make some decsent stuff, but I almost feel like breaking out the popcorn each time a new product is released.

Another new product in the behringer "copycat" line. Sometimes I wonder if behringer would get more respect if they came up with an amp design of their own.

There, I fixed your spelling for you. A lower price isn't necessarily a better price if it comes attached to an inferior product.

Not going to happen. Real R&D is much more expensive that copying someone else's design. That would upset their business model.

But you couldn't fix "decent" for him?

Looks like intercom/paging system amps to me, the same low wattage type of stuff that Bogen has made it's name in. You don't need 1200 watts for that application.
It could be a hit with places where they like to feed in the Muzak.

That product is for installed public-address applications: schools, hospitals, office buildings, and the like. The 70v and 100v outputs are a dead giveaway. Those systems run higher voltage and lower current to the speakers to avoid losses in the long cable runs. Each speaker usually has its own output transformer.

It's not intended for the musical-instrument market at all.
