If the money outlay is the same, it's hard to say which is better. However, if one is substantially cheaper that might tilt the deal for me. Both splendid cabs. I'll always get the lighter one, though. Worth it in wear and tear.

Now i dont know how the ampeg is for lows from what i heard not very good...but i know with just my SWR Goliath 410...not my 810 my 410....it blows away any 115 cab i have used when it come to low end...it is a myth that you need bigger speakers to get better bottom..in fact an group of smaller speakers is way better suited to get the low end then most any 115. And as for my Megoliath 810 i dare any 215 cab to come and take it on...cause it will be crushed and heard clearly, cleanly and with a Punch that you will not get from any 115 cab i have ever had the chance to use or hear!!

Have not been a big fan of there heads...i myself use GK heads like the combo of Gk and SWR!!! Been using that set up for about 12 or so years and it has my sound so i keep with it!!That being said i am just not a huge fan of 115 SWR included...i find i am able to get way better punchy lowend 10's instead of 115's!!

but one 15 is just not enough to be consider an alternative of a 410
now two Mesa 15 is a whole different story

Now if a person is wanting more bottom end then the mesa most likey will do that... that ampeg sealed 410 starts rolling off the bottom end at around 65Hz...so it not great for a low B...like Jimmy said but it will cut through stage nose better then the 115 due to that fact that it is faster and more punchy and not as slow as the 115!! in the end you have to decide what you like for your self...it really dont matter what i think or anyone else for that matter...let your your ears guide you and not what some one else thinks is good for you...people as me what i think i tell them from what i use and like does not mean they should take it for Gospel and use it...talk all you want...in the end you have to get out there and try it!!
