mesa 400+ basson 8x10 cab

Hey all! Just curious to know if a mesa 400+ bass tube amp would be enough power to run something like this basson b810 cab? Does anyone have an opinion on this matter if so please reply! thank you mark.

That Basson cab is overkill, too heavy, and not worth the effort. 100 watts would "power" it. If you don't already own the basson get an Ampeg 810 or similar.

Are you trying to kill infants? If not then the Mesa 400+ would work fine.

I thought basson cabs didn't use particularly efficient drivers? I'm not sure on that, but if that's the case, you're going to want something more efficient like an Ampeg or Mesa cab.
