I'm looking to get these on a trade this weekend. The seller said these were pre(?) Powerhouse cabs. Are these Diesel cabinets? Help! I don't know my Mesa gear at all! I've never even touched a Mesa Boogie or a Trace Elliot bass amp/cab/rig. I have had my hands on and bass through just about everything else though.
Thanks for the help!

I think it'd be a cool alternative rig to my Bag End D10BX-D and Q10BX-D. I'll probably do it but I just want to know what they are. |

These same cabs made of slightly thicker plywood and with metal hardware and latch on covers are called "roadready" cabs.
Those are a great set. Go for the trade!
What kind of amp?

What kind of amp? | No amp included in the deal if that's what you're asking. However, I'll be using them with a Sound City 120 or GK 1001RB. |

Heck, I've seen guys use that 2x10 as a stand alone no problem at all.

As with anything, be sure to try them out first if you can. The dented dustcap might not mean much on its own, but I'd want to hear them before making the deal. I'm not enough of an expert to tell if those are the right speakers from the front. AFAIK the 15 should be an EV. I've had 2 10" loaded Diesels, 1 had Eden drivers while one had "Mesa" labelled speakers. I liked the Edens better. Probably fine, but I'm paranoid about buying used.. too easy to swap out good drivers for cheap crap then unload it on someone unsuspecting. I've seen used cabs in music stores with ridiculous things like dirt cheap guitar speakers stuffed in them.
