Never played a Markbass cab that sounded good to my ear. As far as how it sounds to your ear, that is a different matter. What sort of tone are you looking for out of your signal chain?

That said take all those posted power handling specs and throw them out the window, they are all BS. You can reasonable expect an 410 to handle 500-600 watts, but no more.

Well the tone Iam looking for is a Korn sound BUT a Jazz clean tone...Iam playing a Ibanez SR 1205 bass..Iam leaning toward the Mesa Big Block and the 4x10 mark Bass or a 2x10 Mesa Power House.

What is it about those two cabs that has caught your eye?

Also what are budget restrictions, and volume needs?

Mark Bass:
I had one before and liked it and is pretty light, But had the Mark Bass 800 tube running it.

Mesa:
I have played the Walk about and sounded awsome and was in Fort collins Co and saw a band play and he was using a Mesa Big Block 750 with a 2x10 as well as the same bass I have and sounded very clean.

Now like I was saying I play with 2 bands 1 is a Korn style sound and the other is a Jazz Funk some blues in their as well...So I need a rig that will handle both sides of the coin.As far as $ I have the $ to buy the Mesa or Mark Bass.

A full range 210 is never going to be as loud as a 410. Depending on how loud your bands are you will probably need a lot more cab.

For me the Mesa is off the table unless you can swing two of them at least. The nice thing is you can run up to 4 8 Ohm cabs with that amp. If I was looking at one cab in particular from Mesa it would be their 215. Second to that would be an 8 Ohm 212 (probably a pair).

O.K. how would it work if 1 2x10 mesa is rated @600 watts and a 4x10 mesa is also rated @ 600 watts? If they are both 600 watts would they give me the same or just be as loud?
The band is not a loud band we keep it down some.

As I said, those ratings mean nothing. They are no indication of how loud a cab may get.

The 210 will top out around 250-300 watts before it hits its mechanical limits.

I'm a happy Titan owner, I've try some mark and mesa amps, and IMHO any mark is far, far away of any Mesa, even the cabinets. Click image for larger version

I am looking into a M6 or Big Block 750 with a 4x10 Mesa Power house.

I didn't say it before, but I'd like to say sorry for my crappy English I'm not an English speaker.
I think big block and Titan share the same power stage, and M6 is something completely different and newer.

If you can afford it, the Titan does offer a lot more flexibility and power. But the Mesa definitely sounds like a good fit for you. +1 on the 215 recommendation.

I think they share the same pre-amp and tone-stack but a more powerful power section. Also, the Titan has 2 channels that you can quickly switch between.

Remember that the Big Block only puts out its 'named' 750 watts at 2ohms. At 4ohm, it puts out around 500 watts I believe.

Any decent 4ohm 410 should work pretty well. That head has lots of mid complexity and grunt and grind. As posted above, NOTHING like the clean Markbass heads. Maybe the TTE500 would be in the same tone universe, but haven't tried it.

The Mesa cabs sounds GREAT, but god they are heavy. The 4ohm 410 or the 2 x 112 would kill with the BB750 as long as you like a mid present, grunty tone. The BB750 snarls pretty well!
