Hey TB. I'm in love with the Mesa Boogie Powerhouse series of cabs right now. I was wondering how the Vintage Powerhouse series compares to the regular Powerhouse series, because I haven't had any opportunities to try a Vintage Powerhouse cab yet, and I'm really curious. |

AFAIK the cabs aren't constructed any differently. If you look at the Mesa site and read the descriptions they're basically the same. |

I had the option when I ordered my ex-PH412 new of getting it Vintage but eh. My longevity in my band doesn't hinge on the grilles of my cabs! |

If you saw a vintage cab with metal grille, someone either modded it, or someone listed incorrectly. |

| | | | Actually, they have the same tolex now for the past few years. I have a few PH cabs in the thicker Rhino tolex with silver metal grills but pretty much all the new PH cabs are using the Bronco tolex which is a real shame as the thicker Rhino material wears a lot better. My PH412 has the Bronco and black metal grill. Its an amazing cab but the tolex scuffs and tears way too easily.
