Mesa/Boogie Date question....

Anyone know how to determine the date of a Mesa Bass 400+? Is there a serial number database somewhere?

there is usually a QC sticker on them. Mine was on the outside, next to the power cord. Dating it to 1983 august. I think on the newer ones it is probably someplace on the inside. The Boogieboard may have something like this, but that forum seesm more geared towards guitar playing halfwits.
