Mesa/Boogie Diesel 610

Anyone have any experience with these? Solid cab? I haven't been able to find much about them online.

What would be a reasonable price to pay for these?

Mesa cabinets are top tier and sound great. They're a great choice provided you don't care that they're made out of bricks.

I haven't tried the 6x10 but have experience with other Diesel cabs. They are about as solid as it gets and have a pretty forward in the mix kind of voicing. If it's in good shape and hasnt been on a few world tours or anything, I'd value it on the higher end of whatever used 6x10's go for. $500 would be a good deal.

I never played through a older Diesel MESA 610, however I did own the Powerhouse 610 and that thing was very solid in both sound/tone/volume as well as construction and build. I regret having to sell it!

I've never seen a Diesel 610 - I don't think they ever made one... I did own a PH610 for a few years, and it was a great cab - I ended up selling mine in decent condition for $750...

I currently own a PH610 and I'm really happy with this cab. I also play a PH412 for shows and really love that cab. Have nothing but great things to say about the Mesa gear I've played, though like George I'm not sure they made a diesel 6X10.

If Mesa 'didnt make a Diesel 610', I wouldn't be surprised to hear they mighta done a custom-shop/special-order cab for someone. (maybe even some famous bassist...) And If thats the case, I'd snatch that thing up quick, just as a rare/cool/usable collectors Item if nothing else.

Petehead, whats their asking price?

asking price

They're asking $500...Here is a picture of the cab.

I'm shopping for an entire rig, I just happened to stumble upon that cab. Right now I'm in between buying that and hunting down an amp to go with it or going with this for $1000 total:

-SWR Goliath Senior 6x10 Cab =$400
-SWR 550x head, Road Ready 4u space road case, Korg rack tuner =$600

Any thoughts? Appreciate all the input!

Mesa made a Diesel-looking 6x10 with EV's around the same time as they were making the Buster Bass (I think it was for the Buster).

I'd go with the Mesa over the SWR if you are a rock/metal guy. $400 for a Sr. is not a bad deal though.

Is this what you are looking for?

It sounds awesome but weighs as much as a bus.
