I recently bought an mesa boogie m-pulse 600 and I am still getting used to the Graphic EQ. If there are others who own this amp, I wanted to talk about some cool settings that you use.

Recently bought an M-Pulse 600. Was totally blown away when playing at home, it sounds astounding. However, I'm finding that in most band situations, I'm having a hard time getting it to cut through the mix properly.

I'm using an american made Ampeg 410HLF cab - that could be part of the problem. What cab are you running your M-Pulse with?

I think I remember kjung telling me that on the Mpulse, is is best to start with the mid control at about 9 o'clock & adjust from there~ even half way can get honky. You can PM him for suggestions.

I've been gigging one for a few months now, after owning a Big Block 750, and a 700rb-II before that - the M-pulse 600 is the best amp I've ever played thru... I use it with either a PH810 or a PH610, and it has worked great for this rock bassist...

I tried using the GEQ, but got better results with it off, Pre Gain @ 1 o'clock, Bass and Treble @ Noon, Mid @ 1 o'clock - Master volume set around 10 o'clock, as needed... I also haven't used the Comp or Solo feature - just using it as a straight up, warm, punchy, tubish rock bass amp...

Could be your cab, or bass - I haven't had ANY complaints about mine in a band mix, and the area musicians that have either used it or heard it have all been very complimentary...
